Who we are

Nahud (Pty) Ltd ("Nahud", "we") is a South African event management and brand activation company based in Strand, Western Cape. We're responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use our quote form, WhatsApp or phone links, you may give us your name, company, email address, phone number and details about your event (date, location, size and the services you need). We only ask for what we need to reply and prepare a quote.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how the website is used: which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. Both are Google services. We don't use Google Analytics to identify you by name, and we don't use advertising cookies.

Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) are only set if you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or haven't chosen yet, no analytics cookies are set. Google Tag Manager itself loads on every page, so Google receives your device's IP address when a page loads, as it does for our fonts.

Your choice is saved in your browser, so you aren't asked on every page. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or here: Change cookie settings. If you change from accept to reject, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you hire us, plan and deliver the work. We don't sell your information and we don't add you to marketing lists without your permission.

Who else handles it

Our website is hosted by Afrihost, and its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your device's IP address when a page loads. When you send an enquiry through the form, your details are emailed to us through our email service providers, and WhatsApp (operated by Meta) opens with your enquiry filled in. If you press send, it also reaches us through WhatsApp. The website itself doesn't store it. Some of these providers may process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that are bound by data-protection laws or agreements that give protection comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we need them longer for a contract we have with you or because the law requires it. Then we delete them.

Keeping it safe

We limit access to the people at Nahud who handle your enquiry and use providers with appropriate security measures.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact our information officer on +27 71 542 9522, by WhatsApp, or at info@nahud.com.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
